Analog photography is back in fashion! Do you fancy a trip into the analog world and want to know how to develop film yourself? Then you’ve come to the right place.
In this workshop we combine black and white street photography with classic film development. The course offers something for everyone: beginners as well as advanced analog photographers. We will first go on a two-hour photo walk together and discover specific street photography motifs for ourselves.
Our two instructors Jan and Chris will be happy to answer your questions at any time during the photo walk and explain what is important for the right exposure and the right camera settings and perspectives in street photography.
Of course, Jan and Chris will also give you tips and tricks that they themselves use on the road to capture the right moment and take unique snapshots.
We will then develop the films together in a Jobo rotation, which will take one to two hours depending on the material created.
What you will learn in the workshop
- How analog street photography works consciously and creatively
- How to recognize exciting motifs and special moments on the street
- How exposure and camera settings are used in street photography
- How perspective and timing influence your visual impact
- How black and white films are developed
- How classic film processing works in the Jobo rotation process
During the joint photo walk through Nuremberg, you will receive practical tips on street photography and then develop your black and white films together in the lab.
Your goal after the workshop
By the end of the workshop, you will have become familiar with the complete analog workflow – from shooting to developing your own film – and developed a better feel for conscious, decelerated photography.
