” School Photo Contest

“School Photo Challenge 2026”

2. Eligibility

(1) School classes in grades 8–13 from Nuremberg and the surrounding region are eligible to participate.

(2) Participation is limited to class projects led by a designated teacher.

(3) Participation is free of charge.

3. Participation and Submission

(1) Participation is by the teacher submitting photographs via the designated upload platform.

(2) Each class may submit up to 3–4 photographs.

(3) Only photographs taken by the entrant are permitted.

(4) AI-generated or entirely computer-generated images are not permitted.

(5) The deadline for submissions is July 25, 2026.

4. Copyrights and Third-Party Rights

(1) The teacher certifies, on behalf of the participating students, that the submitted images were created independently.

(2) The submitter hereby warrants that the submission does not infringe upon any third-party rights, in particular copyrights, trademark rights, or personal rights.

(3) If individuals are recognizable in the images, it must be ensured that the appropriate consents have been obtained.

(4) The organizer shall be held harmless from any claims by third parties arising from a breach of these obligations.

5. Rights of Use in Connection with the Contest

(1) By participating, the creators grant the organizer the non-exclusive, geographically unrestricted right to use the submitted images in connection with the contest for a period of five years following the end of the contest.

This includes, in particular:

  • Exhibition at the Imaging World Trade Show
  • Publication on the website and the contest page
  • Use on social media (provided that the appropriate consent has been obtained)
  • Press and Public Relations
  • Competition Documentation

(2) Any use beyond this scope is not permitted without separate consent.

6. Minors / Consent

(1) Since the participants are minors, consent from their legal guardians is required for the publication of the images and for participation in the exhibition at Imaging World.

(2) This consent need not be obtained until the applicant is selected to exhibit or participate in Imaging World.

(3) The organizer will provide the appropriate forms for this purpose.

7. Determination of Profit

(1) The winners will be selected by a jury.

(2) The jury’s decision is final.

(3) Legal action is precluded.

8. Prices

(1) A total of 3 prizes, each worth €3,000, will be awarded for class field trips.

(2) The winning classes will be invited to Imaging World, where they will receive their awards.

(3) Payment is made to the respective school or to an entity designated by the school.

(4) The prize money will be used for school-related activities, such as a class field trip.

9. Exclusion from the Competition and Reservation of Rights

(1) The organizer is entitled to exclude participants from the contest if these rules of participation are violated or if the contest is unduly influenced.

(2) The organizer reserves the right to modify the contest or terminate it early for important reasons beyond the organizer’s control, provided that proper conduct of the contest cannot be guaranteed.

Privacy Notice for the School Contest

As part of the “School Photo Challenge 2026” school competition, personal data is processed, in particular:

  • Information about the school and the teacher in charge
  • submitted image files

No personal information about the students will be published.

The data will be used exclusively for the purposes of conducting the competition, for communication, and for presenting the results of the “
” (e.g., exhibition, website, press relations).

Submissions must be made by the teacher. Images will be published only in accordance with the applicable
privacy policy and—in the case of participants who are minors—based on the appropriate consent from
their legal guardians.
