The photographic momentum …between action and reaction

Model, photographer, camera, location – and light. This workshop is all about the interplay of these elements. Paul Leclaire shows how to create expressive images with reduced equipment and an existing lighting situation, without any subsequent editing. The aim is to think about and realize the photo at the moment it is taken.

Together we will work out how framing, perspective and depth of field determine the effect – even if the location seems to offer little. The focus is on selective vision, clear composition and a feel for the right moment. Photography is intuitive and conscious, not staged – the light is observed, used and subtly guided.

Each participant should have a good command of their own equipment, because it’s not about image processing, but about finished images at the moment of the shutter release.

If there are 7 or more participants, a second model will be available so that all participants have enough time to take photos.
