A portrait workshop with Alexander Heinrichs is more than just technical training – it’s your introduction to the world of expressive people photography with natural light. You will learn how to work with what is available on location – without flash, but with a great feeling for light, composition and mood.
Alexander shows you the most important theoretical basics you need for convincing portraits. You will get a feel for how to work with light – whether soft, hard, direct or diffuse. Topics such as exposure, image composition and choice of location are at the forefront.
After a short introduction, it’s straight into practice. Together with Alexander, you will look for exciting spots with interesting light – urban, modern or natural. You will take photos, receive direct feedback and learn how to stage people authentically, advantageously and effectively. The focus is just as much on handling the model as on the light itself.
As an experienced portrait photographer, Alexander not only provides technical advice, but also shares his very personal approach. You will benefit from his experience, his perspective – and from valuable tips that will immediately help you to develop your visual language.
The workshop takes place in a small group. This creates space for exchange, discussion and creative interaction – just the right atmosphere for learning while having fun, discovering new perspectives and taking your own photography to the next level.
