A portrait workshop with Alexander Heinrichs means: you will delve deep into the world of lighting and learn how to use flash and continuous light to create atmospheric portraits. Whether in the studio or on location – this workshop will take you noticeably further in your photography.
Alexander teaches you the most important basics of portrait photography with artificial light. It’s all about exposure, image composition and, above all, targeted lighting – whether with flash or continuous light. You will gain a firm understanding of how light changes your image and how you can consciously control it.
After a compact theoretical introduction, you will go straight into practice. You will immediately put what you have learned into practice and receive individual tips on the optimal use of light sources. The focus is on the question: When do you use which light? This is exactly what you will actively try out – with direct feedback from Alexander.
As an experienced professional, Alexander also shares his personal experience from over 15 years of professional practice with you. You will gain real insights into his work, setups, tricks and approaches that you can immediately apply to your own photography.
The workshop takes place in a small group – so you not only have enough space for your own shots, but also the opportunity for creative exchange. New perspectives, fresh ideas and real practical knowledge included.
About Alexander Heinrichs
After studying pharmacy, Alexander moved into the creative world of photography in 2004. Today he is known for high-quality portraits, advertising and product photography as well as detailed composings. He travels internationally as a coach, speaks at workshops, festivals and trade fairs and writes regularly for specialist magazines such as digitalPHOTO, Chip Foto Video and DOCMA. As an ambassador and influencer, he works with renowned brands such as Adobe, Sony, Sigma, EIZO and MSI – and brings with him exactly the practical knowledge that you can apply directly in the workshop.
