Workshop color management for photographers

The complete workflow: controlling colors from capture to print

Everyone knows the problem: you edit your photos carefully on the screen until they look exactly how you want them to. But when you look at the pictures on your laptop, tablet or smartphone, they often look quite different. And when it comes to printing, almost everyone has experienced unpleasant and costly surprises. But why is this and, more importantly, what can you do about it? Is it the monitor, its settings or have you done something wrong in the software? Has something gone wrong with the printing or the service provider? There are these ICC profiles. What do you need them for again?
